Major Objectives
  • The student will use his/her windows skills to navigate the network neighborhood to their computer science directory.
  • The student will use his/her windows skills to find folder/directory PowerPoint
  • The student will use the current version of Microsoft PowerPoint  to open the PowerPoint Presentation from the PowerPoint I Lab.
  • The student will save the Presentation,  as an HTML document, inside the PowerPoint folder/directory.
  • The student will load the WWW presentation into a WWW browser.
  • The student will use his/her windows skills to copy the WWW version of the presentation from the computer science directory to floppy disk.


  • 1] Inside your computer science folder must be a folder called PowerPoint. It must contain the presentation from the PowerPoint I Lab.

    2] Open the presentation. Save it as an HTML document. Save it inside your computer science PowerPoint folder. If your presentation is called Me.ppt, then this will produce a folder, inside the PowerPoint folder, called Me. If your presentation is called Europe1980.ppt, then this will produce a folder, inside the PowerPoint folder, called Europe1980.
     
    I now have a folder, inside folder  PowerPoint, called _______________________________________

    3] The first page of the WWW presentation is called index.html. Start a browser. Load page  index.html.  Print page  index.html. Using a pen, write an "A" in the top right corner of this page.

    4] Skip to the first slide.  Print the slide. Using a pen, write a "B" in the top right corner of this page. Skip to the second slide.  Print the slide. Using a pen, write a "C" in the top right corner of this page.

    5] When finished, close all applications. Copy only the PowerPoint generated web folder [Step 2] from your computer science account. to at least two floppy disks. (backup!).  The Computer Science account is not regularly backed up; you should always have at least one backup copy of all information that you place in this account. The entire PowerPoint folder probably won't fit on floppy disk.
